Today we are planning a special clinic for the Mentoring Program. As usual the pool will be open to all from 8-10am, regardless of clinic participation. The clinic starts at 9am.
Are you new to swimming? Don’t know the proper protocol when you arrive to the pool with packed lanes? Do you want to join a group swim session, but find them intimidating? Join your mentoring coordinators, Ryan Metcalf and Carrie Tillott on February 28 at Whispering Hills Pool from 9-10am. If you’re new to the club, new to swimming, or just have questions about how it all works, this is the session for you!
At this NIZ (No Intimidation Zone), we will discuss topics like what to wear to the pool, what to bring, how to pick a lane, etc. The first 30 minutes of this hour-long session will be on dry land; and the last 30 minutes will be in-pool work. DON’T worry if you’re not a “fast” swimmer, or if you don’t swim long, or you only breathe right (or left), or if your big toe looks funny without socks on – the focus of this session will be demystifying the pool – not on form, distance, or pace.

We have reserved the Whispering Hills Clubhouse pool every Sunday morning from 8am to 10am. The 25 yd pool has 5 lanes. Enter the clubhouse through the side door (closest to the main parking lot) that leads to the fitness area.
The majority of Sundays will be open swim so bring your own swim plan. Special sessions or clinics are typically held during the winter and early spring months and will be announced ahead of time. The pool may remain closed during inclement weather (snow and ice). We will do our best to post a closure announcement on the club’s Facebook page or Twitter.
