This clinic will consist of a session to learn about track cycling, equipment, track etiquette. Additionally there will be sessions on riding, speed drills, how to ride in a pack and safety. We are only charging $5.00 per rider to cover the insurance.  Any club member can rent a track bike, those are $10.00; we have a limited supply of track bikes but a pretty good run of sizes.  Club members can reserve them by contacting Julie Carter at JCarter@lindenwood.edu.

What is a Velodrome? An arena for track cycling featuring a steeply banked oval surface consisting of two 180º circular bends connected by two straights. Velodrome cyclists use a single speed fixed gear bicycle with no brakes. The removal of brakes allows for maximum speed and momentum without endangering other riders with abrupt stops. Penrose Park is a 333 meter track with 28 degree banking and an asphalt/blacktop surface.
