Note that Redman 2017 will be the inaugural USAT Ultra Distance National Championships. “Ultra” refers to a triathlon with a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run, for a total distance of 140.6 miles. There is no qualification requirement for this race. Note that this is not an ITU qualifier as the ITU does not compete a World Championship at this even length.
