Due to illness of the emcee (and owner of the technology), and an abundance of caution for even a small group getting together, we are going to defer this virtual meeting to a later date. The logistics, content, planning, and technology are all in place – thanks to all involved! – so we still should be able to deliver this. Stay tuned!
Yes, we are going to go virtual for the month of March! This is a new technology for us and we are doing a lot of planning/learning on the fly in a short time, so hopefully you will bear with us yet still find the experience valuable. We hope that the processes we are developing from necessity will evolve to better support the Club membership in the future.
We will be livestreaming via Facebook Live. Note that a Facebook account is not required to watch the live video feed, but you will need an account in order to participate interactively.
The virtual meeting is open to prospective as well as current members .
- Club business and coordinator updates
- (Tentative) Marty Giubardo of medals4mettle.org on an opportunity to donate earned finishers’ medals (marathons, half marathons and triathlons) and “award them to children and adults for the mettle and courage they demonstrate battling cancer, chronic illness, trauma and other life challenges.” We will plan an ingathering for the May meeting, but you may bring them in at any time (well, not to the March meeting!)
- Power Up Cycling will be telling us about their upcoming Triathlon Camp April 24-26 in Nashville.
- Club Sponsor Athletico demonstration of their new VGA video gait analysis will be deferred to a later date, possibly also to be presented online. A presentation on avoiding common overuse injuries will be provided for download but not presented at the meeting.
Bookings are for St. Louis Tri Club members only, please login to RSVP.
