Group Events Coordinators: grouptraining@stlouistriclub.com Carey Bundy
Group training is an excellent way to improve skills and physical endurance, as well as, providing support and motivation for your training. I will be scheduling monthly group training events for 2011. The goal of each will be getting people involved, getting in some good training, and having a fun time.
Elena Claus My first triathlon was the Ballwin Tri in 2004. I side stroked, biked and walk/jogged my way to the finish. I joined the St. Louis Triathlon Club in June of 2006. I have never been more happy with a decision. Since then I have done many sprint triathlons, several olympic distance triathlons, and two half iron distance triathlon. Through membership with the tri club I have met many good friends and learned so much about triathlon. The tri club is a great source of knowledge and motivation. After 3 years on the Tri Club Board of Directors I still am very interested in being involved in the club. I thought group events would be a good fit for me. My goals have always been to get more members involved and to learn from other members. See you at an event!
Donna Fink I joined the triathlon club in 2010. I admit, I was a little scared at first, wondering if I would be able to hang with the other members. After my first event I realized there were so many that felt just like I did. The encouragement from the other new triathletes to the veterans was and is amazing. Group events are a great way to meet members, gather information and improve your skills. As an event coordinator I will be setting up events that members of various skills levels can participate in. I will be there to steer you in the right direction, provide refreshments and encouragement. If you have an idea for group training or know of an event that would be suitable for our members, please let me know.If you are thinking of joining a ride, race or any event. Don't hesitate, just DO IT.

Social Coordinator: Angela Barbini
I am relatively new to triathlon but I already have the fever, thanks in large part to the amazing athletes of all ability levels in this club! I definitely believe in the motto “work hard, play harder” so I’m excited to be able to bring out the playful side of our members with some exciting social events in 2012. In those few moments when you aren’t running, biking, swimming, setting PRs, and buying new stuff to do more of the same, please share your ideas with me at social@stlouistriclub.com. Here’s to a fun and memorable season!!!
Volunteer Coordinators: Seann RomanJoined the St. Louis Tri Club in January 2010 after I let out a secret to my family, one that I've been holding onto for 20+ years, that I wanted to complete an Ironman. Not knowing anything other than you have to swim, bike, and run I was really nervous about going to that first meeting, but to my surprise and relief there were people there just like me 'brand new' and a great group of veterans that took the time to answer my initial questions. After my first tri in May 2010 I was addicted to the sport and haven't regretted letting out that long kept secret.
Since joining the club I decided an easy way to 'pay-back' the club for all that it has provided me was to volunteer as much as I could. Being at these events cheering on your fellow members is nearly as fun as racing - if you're new or old pick an event or two to volunteer at, I guarantee you'll have fun, meet new friends, and learn something new.
Ken Graham I am entering my fourth season of triathlon racing and my third year as a member of the St. Louis Triathlon Club. One of the most rewarding parts of my Tri-Club experience is volunteering at local races. Volunteering is rewarding (racers are genuinely thankful that you've come out to help) and a great way to meet fellow members. I hope many of you will join Seann and I this year at our volunteer races.
